Can social media support mental health?

Should we be terrified about the amount of screen time some kids and college-age students get on a daily basis?
Or, has it become a lifeline of support?
Consider this quote from a recent study:
“We have done a good job of terrifying people about screen time,” Ferguson said. “The evidence suggests that screen time in and of itself is not a good predictor of anything and that it’s not poisonous.”
And decide for yourself.
